School schedule

So I got my schedule book in the mail for the fall semester and I have all my classes figured out. Priority registration is the 6th of July, so I will be up at 11:59 pm on the 5th of July to register! 2 of the classes there is only ONE class TOTAL, no options whatsoever, so I have to get into them!! My schedule will be this

M/W
5-730 Studio Lighting 1

T/R
930-12 Drawing 1
1-4 Glassblowing 2

Online
History of World Civilization 1

One weekend class (only one weekend out of the semester)
CPR
F 5-10 pm
S 8-6 pm

I am really excited about my class schedule (well except for history because I really don't like history). But I have managed to knock out an A in all three of my other history classes, so hopefully I will be able to knock out an A on my last two history classes.
That is 14 credits. I am so stoked that I now know my school schedule because that has really been weighing on me. Now I know I will only have to have the girls at a daycare/babysitters two days a week. I am also really excited because now every T/R I can have lunch with my husband (his work is 2 mins from my school and I get out of class at his lunch time)! Yippie!

Now I just have to figure out what I am going to do with the girls on T/R. I may take Lori up on her offer to watch the girls for me one day a week (thanks again for that Lori!). But first we are going to apply for the YMCA and see how much daycare will be there. :) I am hoping it won't be anymore than $60-80. Cross your fingers for me!!

Digital Scrapbooking!

I am making a photo book for my niece for her fourth birthday. It will be pictures of her cousins (K & S) and also pictures of when they are together. I have made photobooks through shutterfly quite a few times and I am always very happy with the product. But now I want to do something a little different with the photo books. I want more than just pictures, a background, and words....I want flair! So that is why I have decided to digital scrapbook it. I have found a ton of awesome (FREE!) stuff online, so that is what I am using. he he I'm a bargain hunter, even online. I am no where near done with the book, but it will be done by tommorow because that is when my free photo book expires. (Yikes!) So here is a layout that I have done, it will be the first page. :)

I really like it, let me know what you think!
Once I finish the whole book, I will post the link here. :)

When it rains, it pours...

That is always how it works out with me. If ever one thing goes wrong, there is always something else that happens just to make it worse. A prime example was when Nathan and I were dating (over 4 years ago). My grandfather (well my grandmother's BIL) passed away, then my mom's recent x boyfriend (they broke up 3 weeks prior because of his addiction to pain medicine) was found dead in his home, then two days later my great grandmother passed away. That was a really tough week for me and I was so glad that Nathan was there with me. Well that was just an example. I am in now way comparing what has gone on with me this week to that.

Nathan has been having a ton of problems with his car overheating this week. We were thinking for a couple of days that we were going to have to go out Sunday to buy a new car (with NO MONEY nonetheless) because he thought the gasket was blown. Turns out it is a cheap fix. So Thursday night I had Renea pick me up for glassblowing class so he and the girls could go get the part and get the book for the car from the library (the book that tells him how to fix it). Well he got into an accident. Everyone is fine, thank God. The car is still drivable. Long story short, he was on his cell phone, trying to switch lines, gotta love call waiting, then he looked up and saw the truck in front of him was stopping. He slammed on the brakes and slide about 20 to 25 feet and ended up hitting the truck and going under it. No damage to the truck thank goodness. We just have to get our car fixed. A scratched up bumper and a bent hood. Drivable, yes. Do I want to drive it like that, no. When I am driving down the road and see a car dented, scratched, crunched or has any clue that it was in some sort of accident I always think that they are bad drivers. I don't want anyone to think that of me. I'm a good driver.

Nathan is overworked and underpaid. He is stressed and mad at himself for getting to an accident. It was a stupid mistake, but I am in now way angry or upset with him. Things happen, life happens, no one is perfect. I would not want him to be bitter toward me if I did anything like that. Now, yes I will give him a hard time about it after it is all said and done, but of course in our loving joking way. ;)

Well done venting about that. On to cooler things!

I finished my first totally awesome piece in open lab tonight! Whoot whoot!

It is a beautiful single flower vase. I am so proud of it! Is is about 5 inches tall. :) It took me about 35 minutes to make. I love everything about it.

Here is another piece I made.

This one only took me 15 minutes to make. It is a shot glass! Yup yup, mommy likes her tequila. lol I still need to cold work the bottom. Basically polish it so it is flat because the bottom is where I broke it off from the rod. I will have to post some pics later on of me glassblowing a piece.

Yeah I know, I'm a cool chic.
